I am a Responsible Netizen

           We live in a computer age, wherein technology changes everyone’s life. Inventors and scientists create high-tech gadgets for us to know things beyond our knowledge. We can do our works more easily and in a faster way than it was before using these gadgets. Examples of these gadgets are the computer and internet.

          Since Internet paved now, me, as a student, benefit a lot from it. It makes my works faster than it was before. By just one click, you will have different results on what topic you are searching about. We really benefit from internet, but at the same time, we have to be disciplined also in using it.

I may say that I am a responsible netizen or internet user because I use the internet wisely in making research reports. I promised not to copy one’s idea. When I’m about to use their work or article, I will indicate their names as my source. I will also quote it so it means that it is not my idea. I’m doing that because I don’t want to be charged of plagiarism.

Now, I am on my 3^rd year as a high school student and our computer class deals with all about blogging. I learned that blog is a personal property of one’s self. I also learned that everything you post on your blog should be my own work and not copied from the internet. All the posts of yours will be read by people all over the world. We also tackled about the different people that are charged by different cases because of inappropriate use of blog.

Our computer teacher asked us to make our own blog. I really promised myself that I will follow the rules and regulations in blogging. I also told myself that everything I post should be my own work. I will not practice the “copy-paste” from the internet. Because if it so happen that I copy one’s idea without quoting it and writing the source, I will be charged of plagiarism by the owner of that idea. I will not post bad things unto other’s public or private life. Because i don’t want to be charged of “libel”.

YouTube is a site wherein videos of important events, tutorials and music videos of different artists, etc are posted. There are plenty of videos posted in one day. Some malicious persons posts videos of naked body and people in their act of sexual intercourse. I will not search for malicious videos because i know that it is not appropriate. I can say that never in my whole life that I will think of watching those said videos even if I get older. I will not idolize people watching those malicious videos even if they say that it is a part of getting older. Likewise, I will not upload videos of pornography for I know that it is bad and is a sin in the eyes of God. For “HE” wants us to be in “HIS” likeness.

Now, I hope that all people using Internet would do the same way too.
